“Celtic spirituality reminds us that we do not
live simply in our thoughts, feelings or relationships. We belong on the
earth. The rhythm of the clay and its seasons sings within our hearts.
The sun warms the clay and fosters life. The moon blesses the night. In
the uncluttered world of Celtic spirituality, there is a clear view of
the sacrament of Nature as it brings forth visible presence.”
--John O’Donohue, "Eternal Echoes: Celtic Reflections on Our Yearning to Belong"
Anam Cara Connections follows the Celtic “wheel of the year” by offering eight seasonal ceremonies:
Samhain/Halloween ~ Annual Women’s Retreat
Winter Solstice ~ Adults
Imbolc/Candlemas ~ Adults
Spring Equinox ~ Family Fun
Beltane ~ Adults
Summer Solstice ~ Adults
Lughnasadh ~ Adults
Autumn Equinox ~ Family Fun
Seasonal gatherings often include drumming circles (we bring extra
percussion instruments), singing and meditation, a teaching related to
the specific season, plus storytelling, readings and performances by
musicians and dancers. A Love Offering is gratefully accepted, which
means that we pass a basket for monetary donations. Tax deductible
tithes are joyfully received and identified with confidential envelopes.
No person, religion or holy text owns the Sun, Moon, Stars and Seasons.
By offering seasonal ceremonies, it is our hope to attract people from
all faiths and faith communities. Bring a friend or two, and open to the
meaning of anam cara—soul friends!
